Moving on up...

Thanks to my friends at Milk and Cookies, I am moving to a deluxe apartment in the sky... my very own web site!

You can check out my new digs at robotsandwrestlers.com.

Why the move? As much as I love Blogger, after months of hacking and fine-tuning this site I decided I'd be better off with Wordpress.

Anyone in the Blogger community interested in this template drop me a line at the new site.

Web 2.OH, YEAAHH!!

There is so much buzz on the internet about Web 2.0. Supposedly this is the thing that will liberate us all.

But what is it?

Here's Web 2.0 in geekspeak: New internet technologies to break down our isolation, allowing people to collaborate and share information online and create virtual communities.

Here's Web 2.0 for the rest of us:

Now that's real technology for the masses!

You can buy your shirt over at Mule Design.

Most importantly, these good folks have not sanitized the Kool-Aid man like you see him today on TV. This is the party-crashin', no-pants wearin' Mr. Kool-Aid I remember from childhood!

And just to get it right, I sent out the A-Team to strip the Kool-Aid man of his stupid pants and make a man out of him again.

OH YEAHHH!

Hi, I'm Black Flag's Slave

1984 was awesome. That was the year the drummer for Black Flag almost kicked my ass.

I saw many great punk rock shows in my time, but in 1984 I caught Black Flag, the Meat Puppets, and Nig Heist at the Norwegian Ballroom in Seattle.

Nig Heist wore women's underwear and wigs onstage. They played badass heavy metal songs.

The Meat Puppets had just put out Meat Puppets II, an awesome album.

Black Flag kicked ass. Everybody was spitting on Henry Rollins and he kicked somebody in the face.

I was pretty wasted. Black Flag was one of my favorite bands.

My friends and I were hanging out by the girl's bathroom during part of the show. We were teasing people and trying to pick up chicks.

This guy came by and we said something obnoxious to him and he threatened to kick our asses. He said, "Do you know who I am? I'm the drummer for Black Flag!"

That was so cool.

Anyway, I still love Black Flag. Over 20 years later, I still want to get the Black Flag bars tattooed on my arm but my wife won't let me.

If you don't own a copy of Everything Went Black then you need to buy it.

And here's nice sample for your listening pleasure.

No More
